In the retail environment, it refers to a small store area set out in the opening, typically the middle of a mall. These have become quite popular and profitable in the last decade. The kiosk is characteristically built out of showcases for displaying product along with a cash stand and possibly a work area (such as watch/jewelry repair). The individual pieces are brought together into one cohesive unit to create a store atmosphere for the shopper.

 

Step 1
Discuss mall requirements with mall management:
• They will approve product line
• Define space restrictions
• Provide a floor plan of the area involved including electrical outlets
• Set opening date and provide cost of rental space

Step 2
Develop a preliminary budget for yourself including fixture requirements, electrical
work, graphics, and any special lighting.

Step 3
Bring your ideas to Advantage Fixtures:
• Product lines
• Budget
• Security issues – is space required for a floor safe?
• Any special product line (odd sized or difficult to display items)
• Any high dollar items – we need to high light the display area for these
• How much showcase area is required, cash register area, any specialty area (wrapping, work/repair area, etc.)
• Include any light sketch work of your ideas, nobody knows your business better than you. Bring your likes and dislikes to the table.

Step 4
Advantage Fixtures will take all this information and design a kiosk to meet your special requirements. A full layout will bepresented with pricing. A blueprint will be provided, at a cost, if required. (This takes from 2-3 days to 2-3 weeks depending on the specifications.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 5
This can be taken back for Mall Management approval. We will be happy to discuss any issues with the Mall Management on your behalf concerning the kiosk itself.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 6
Customer approves plan, provides Advantage Fixtures with Mall Management approval, signs off on all drawings, places deposit for the kiosk and the work begins. Completion can be from 4 – 6 weeks.

Step 7
Advantage Fixtures will ship or locally install the kiosk to the customer’s satisfaction in time for the opening date to be met.
